I look around some more, find some more habitable worlds, they get gobbled up to.Eventually I run out of space. I'm used to steamrolling in Stellaris. One challenge start I've always wanted (that will probably never happen) is starting out as an uplifted or enlightened protectorate in a fully inhabited galaxy, sometime around 2250-2275. As jobs become available I begin resettling my homeworld population over.

It'd be cool if this was the final result of terravore, IMO.Lithoid Fanatic Purifiers might be the best race to play with this origin as it might let you EDIT: Scratch that; if we can play as robots with this origin, Determined Exterminators or Assimilators might want to be picking up this Origin for the same reason, but also to have some great habitability on the planets around them if things go south.

So I decided to try the Doomsday origin since it billed itself as a "challenging origin". 114 votes, 25 comments. Stellaris The Doomsday origin is goddamn brutal and I love it.
To be eligible for the list, the game must be confirmed for 2020, or there should be good reason to expect its release in that year. I had played MHG on 3DS but never got super far, so was excited to play through MHGU even if it was similar.
They hate each other. Only then I imediately find the empire living right next to those worlds, who immediately afterwards colonizes their systems.
Each species has double weight for pop growth on its homeworld. I'm planning on doing Tree of Life Origin in the future though. But I've never had so much fun in Stellaris. At this point the debuffs to the homeworld are tanking my economy. Seems too interesting to pass up. With less than a year left to doomsday, I resettle the last pop. ... Hivemind and Gestalt do seem to have a leg up even when using the Doomsday Origin. Cue me spamming science ships to go look around for them. The tables have turned, and I'm able to gain a bunch of new systems from them. I know they won't do well, but its fills me with sick pleasure to have a species around that the galaxy just keeps fucking over.I’m now curious as to what the AI success rate at surviving this origin will be and which traits improve or decrease their chances...An ai has already failed at it in my game, they failed to colonize another planetI didn't think I would ever use the origin but seeing it in action makes me want to try it out.

Using a bunch of commerce centres I'm able to get most people employed and lots of amenities and energy to help right the economy.
