FLORISSANT, MO (KMOX)-Florissant police say they arrested three people Friday night, after protestors began throwing objects at the department's headquarters causing extensive damage. The social media post concluded, "The Florissant Police Department continues to recognize individuals’ rights to PEACEFULLY protest, but unfortunately the peaceful protesters’ message is continuing to be stolen by aggressive individuals in the protest crowds.
Officer Steve Michael tells KMOX that after the crowd ignored numerous orders to disperse and multiple officers were assaulted with thrown objects, officers maced several protestors. We will continue to serve the citizens of Florissant and be here for them. Numerous objects were thrown at the officers during the protest.
