Secondary school drama that seems realer than most about modern Britain, though all the main characters, those with the most interesting, meatiest arcs in the first episode were the white characters, not that unlike Indian Summers, another recent Channel 4 series ostensibly setting out to create a 'balanced', evenly split portrayal of its racially divided milieu.

The drama is cleverly written and is ingenious in its sudden highs and lows.

Although the first season came out a year ago and i can't remember for the life of me what happened, it was a good show hi-lighting important issues and events in today's society, not only has the show done this well, they've also made it entertaining to watch and it a new fresh tv show for british television. A bit Mean Girls, Waterloo Road, Teachers. I want to turn off TV and forget it even exists. The series follows the lives of the staff and pupils at the fictional multi-cultural academy school Ackley Bridge College, in the fictitious Yorkshire mill town of Ackley Bridge.

The two friends fall out, leading Nas to take Naveed on a night out with a difference where he meets a guy who proves to be the perfect distraction from Cory. I admit I have watched only half of the first episode. Don’t worry, it won’t take long.
