Aster is a lovely boy who keeps trying to overhear the secret women's teaching. Unfortunately for Aster, he still hasn't shifted . I care for my clothes myself. The Witch Boy (The Witch Boy, #1), The Hidden Witch (The Witch Boy, #2), and The Midwinter Witch (The Witch Boy, #3) The book is more about the dangers of gender stereotypes and toxic masculinity. He is drawn to it and not to the shapeshifting side. This was great - I would describe it as a mixture of Lumberjanes and Nimona.

It's good but the points of the book seem a little rushed it still is a good book and would definitely recommend for you to read It is a rule that all magical males should only be shapeshifter, not witches and only females can become be witches. Everything felt a little shallow and not fully fleshed out, and there's no real "twist" -- even though I think one was This was nice, the kind of gender representation that might even fly with right-wing parents just because it's mostly super-not-declaredly but-still-quite-clearly trans. Even though it is forbidden for Aster to talk to a non-magical person and to even befriend one, but Charlie knows how Aster exactly feels like at his home with his family because Charlie feels the same way at her home so the both of them clicked right away. I hope librarians/educators pick this graphic novel and get it into their hands of those who don't fit gender norms and those who need to learn how to celebrate's someone differences.
