Reviews on Titans site also mention this fact. A great used rack is your other option.I completely empathize with you because I came to a similar conclusion recently. What did you end up going with? This is my third Titan rack. I will look into the PR-1000. All pieces were in great condition with no blems in the paint or finish.Pro's. The T3 is heavier duty. All pieces were accounted for. You can alternatively bolt it into a platform, but otherwise another Titan or Rep Fitness rack may suit your needs better.ETA: or if allowed, you can bolt into concrete and patch when you move out.I have a T6 that I haven’t bolted down, zero issues sitting on stall mats.Biggest thing I found when I built mine before bolting it down was leave all the bolts relatively loose until you have it in the exact spot you want to use it. And yes I have been obsessively checking craigslist for about 2 weeks, but honestly, nothing seems as reasonably priced as the stuff on Titan’s website. I can only attach by one screw but it works fine for weighing it down. The only thing I have not tried is attaching my wallball targets.Cons. Next Question: Assuming that bolting the rack into my shoddy platform is workable and reasonable, would the X-2 or T3 be worth the extra money over the Rep rack I was considering? I prefer to do heavy squats in my rack with the flip down safeties. By using our Services or clicking I agree, you agree to our use of cookies. I use two of the horizontal weight pegs as vertical weight pegs. I had my heart set on the Titan T3 power rack, but upon learning that I will need to bolt it down, I have decided to go a different route. Looks like it just has the holes on the uprights for the pull up bar.It looks like the PR-1100 has the holes for the multigrip pull up barDo you prefer the T3 full rack or squat stand. Looking at their website, the bottom part matches the connected X3, whereas the T3 seems to have two freestanding legs instead. The T3 squat stand v2 has welded on upright brackets. I had some points so I pulled the trigger. Upon looking at the feet and seeing the X3 being almost identical but designed to sit flat, I really felt the T3 didn't belong with my other choices. What do you think if the Rep Fitness PR-1000? The rack is very stable. I got a Valor Fitness BD-7 and a York bench for 200 on LetGo. Way better quality than Titan. The same bracket style can be found on the T3 yoke though.Washers go on the nut side of the fastener (if they don't include two washers per bolt).Cool, thanks for the tip! Super solid once loaded down, I did finally bolt it to the floor though I don’t notice a huge difference from the non bolted setup.I didn't see anyone mention the stabilizer bars. It's rock solid now, no wobble. It never felt unsafe for the general movements like squats. I would assume to support the larger 3x3 uprights. Has standard 2x3 frame so accessories are pretty easy to find. My biggest thing was I couldn't do dips before as the sway was a little too scary for my taste.I have a T3 and just secured it to a platform with lag screws. The only advantage i see for the T2 is not being required to bolt it down. Does it work unbolted? Just feels safer. But when it's hot as hell in my garage, I greatly enjoy the luxury of being able to roll the rack into my driveway and workout in the fresh air. There is a group of about five of us who come over to my house to do crossfit style workouts, being able to quickly get the stand out into the open is a tremendous benefit. But if I was solely a bench, squat, press kind of guy, and only working out in one space, I would stick with the rack. Do they well work in lieu of bolting down? They help a little... but still nothing compared to bolting down. It's just big, bulky and wobbles a bit.The v2 squat rack arrived in less than a week via FedEx Ground. Titan Back Hyperextension V2 (brand new, just put together out of the box yesterday) Titan Standing Single Leg Curl (still in box, don't know how to use it, so it will stay there) Titan T3 Y-Dip Bar (not interested in dips at this time) I have the rack but the squat stand might free up some spaceThat's a tough one. Thanks for the comment.I am curious as to why you are hesitant about bolting down a rack? The rack has held up great (though I haven’t used much weight) and is just sitting on a rubber mat right now, not bolted.I didn't have my heart set on it, but it was definitely in my top 3 of racks I was looking to make a purchase of when I presented the same thing. Let it settle and working in opposites tighten it down. The only advantage i see for the T2 is not being required to bolt it down.
