Hi all, unfortunately it wasn't good news for me and yesterday my miscarriage was confirmed.
I really hope this isn’t the outcome for you. I just had my first ultrasound after a FET on 3-28 well I should be 7 weeks pregnant which it showed I was however there is no heartbeat. I went through the same 4 weeks ago.
Surromom. This is my first and it’s a pain that is numbing. I don't really know, it's all a whirlwind to me right now! I saw two together the other day and got all excited and then about an hour later saw one on its own..! The did vaginal ultrasound and couldn't find a heart beat or blood flow in the baby. Ask as many questions as you need, and expect to receive clear and compassionate answers.
I went for a private scan at 10 weeks after losing a pregnancy prior and was told they couldn't find a heartbeat and I was referred to hospital to have a scan the following Monday (it was Wednesday then) I started to bleed on the Friday and by the Monday the majority has passed. The day I had my miscarriage I was sitting in the conservatory and a single magpie landed on the roof and looked down at me and then a black cat literally jumped over the wall into the garden and came right into the conservatory. I was given option of coming back at 7 weeks for another ultrasound. If you are less than seven weeks pregnant, it's unlikely to find a heartbeat by ultrasound. I thought I was I weeks, had some brown discharge, was told I was measuring 5 and then the cramps started. But there are many exceptions to the "heartbeat by seven weeks" rule. If you have no other symptoms, rechecking with another an ultrasound test in a week is the most common recommendation. Now I'm in limbo, they cannot formally tell me that I have miscarried until they give me another scan in a weeks time.... they are pretty certain that I will miscarry during this week.

I was devastated but what helped me was the doctor said there would probably have been something wrong with the foetus so that would have been natures way of dealing with it. I said no not without knowing 100% if the baby is gone or not. But I'm looking after myself and feeling positive about the future! when i went for the ultrasound the doctor told me that there was no heartbeat he told me to go back in a week for a repeat ultrasound so i went back this morning and they couldnt find a heartbeat again but they could see a shadow of the baby. That's crazy! If your periods were irregular, even though it is seven weeks from your last menstrual period, you may still be only five weeks along at a second ultrasound. Using a transvaginal ultrasound, a developing baby's heartbeat should be clearly visible by the time a woman is seven weeks pregnant. You've likely heard of people who were certain they had miscarried or were not pregnant, and then went on to have a normal pregnancy. I went for ultrasound for expected 8 weeks pregnancy. Dont want to scare you but in case its bad news it might help to think in this way.xx I experienced a similar situation although it happened for me at 6 and a half weeks - babies (twins) could be seen but no heartbeats.
