Amazon were brilliant, they dispatched a new unit within 24hrs, and i sent the damaged one back in the packaging from the new unit.
Had bought those dusk to dawn light bulbs for not far off the price of this unit but found them useless had a mind of their own when it came to going on or going off.

Much simpler to have all the timers inside, in one location. Yes, the supplied screws are too long for wooden shed mounting, but its easy to replace with shorter self-tapping screws (1.5 inch, size 6 are fine).
