Oh yeah – and he also tells the origin story of Spider-Man< through origami.

I agree with the first two points, though that is not necessarily a bad thing. All these things make it an interesting straight-to-DVD feeling film. Props for casting Kevin McKidd btw...the voice actor for Soap MacTavish in Call of Duty.

I have finally got around to re-watching Bunraku, and while I still somewhat enjoyed it, I have a lot more issues this time around.

Those things are weird as hell and there's an expo of them at the Morikami Museum if you have the time and are in the area.

October 5, 2011 Each is obsessed with his separate mission, and guided by the wisdom of The Bartender (Woody Harrelson) at the Horseless Horseman Saloon, the two eventually join forces to bring down the corrupt and contemptuous reign of Nicola (Ron Perlman), the awesomely evil "woodcutter" and his lady Alexandra (Demi Moore), a femme fatale with a secret past.

Movie Review | 'Bunraku' Violent Revenge, No Guns Required. Directed by Guy Moshe.

Sure, the plot is simple, but a movie doesn't have to be groundbreaking to be great.
| Everything felt slow, and not in a methodical detail-oriented way. •Its like in art class at school when your asked to create a vision of the future. The wonderfully constructed sets hide the limited budget and the action scenes are competently choreographed. | Rating: D An overstylized, overwritten, overinflated jumble that doesn't have a clue when to quit. There’s even a fight scene reminiscent of Donkey Kong. Some good performances, and wasted ones.

The look that strays from the norm. I still like Bunraku, but I don't think there will be another re-watch in the future. What it doesn't do is give a lot of backstory or explanations.
By paying too much homage, the twists and turns become apparent early on. September 29, 2011 The way the Drifter always breathes in the smoke of others' cigars but never lights his own.

Out there premise, with a not so out there story inside it. Bunraku is a 2010 martial-arts action film written and directed by Guy Moshe based on a story by Boaz Davidson. The film stars Josh Hartnett, Demi Moore, Woody Harrelson, Ron Perlman, Kevin McKidd, and Gackt and follows a young drifter in his quest for revenge.. It has a unique look to it. Extremely cool-looking in the manner of "Sin City,'' but clumsily staged, slackly acted and mind-numbingly dull... It’s a purely visual experience, but in that regard alone, it’s fascinating. This is a one-of-kind movie that not everyone will appreciate. This movie is visually appealing eye candy. Bunraku Review. It takes on forms of puppetry at times, and also uses the aesthetics of a pop-up book for its transitions. Sidney Poitier’s 7 Most Memorable Performances May 16, 2018 The predictable ending is totally not worth the two hour wait, and at the point which we realize that almost none of the action scenes have any consequences, they actually become pretty boring and we just wait for the filmmakers to finish their masturbatory exercise and eventually finish telling the story.

Again, weird film, but I like how it mixes genres, and I definitely like how it tells its story. Ein namenloser Fremder taucht in einer Stadt auf, die von Gangsterboss Nicola und seinen Killern beherrscht wird. Cinedigm Entertainment
