In the meantime its appealing stars, Steve Kazee and Cristin Milioti, have only grown in presence and dimensionality. I watched it recently with my daughter and still toughed by its gentle, sweet and clean taste of its love story and musicality in whole.

As a performing arts teacher who owns the film but has yet to see the play, I'd be much more interested in comparing the way the story is brought forth on stage (on a single bar set, I believe) with the way the story and songs are laid out in the film. It’s not just that what seems hokey downtown can read quirky in Midtown, where overpriced-ticket buyers tend to prefer familiarity to novelty.
Who would have thought that this soft-spoken little musical would have found itself by raising its voice?
