When you leave take the taxi to the blowing point ferry, check in where you pay the $140, then go to the window to pay the exit tax, that was over $50 total, then go through a small security area then wait till they tell you to board the ferry, its not like back home, its about a 35 ft boat that only seats 12 people. We charged everything at the resort to our room. The channel was rough going back 4 footers hitting us on the side. No need for cash while on property. Hit a lot of the bays, got off and swam, had lunch at Davida, which was so good, and last stop was Sandy Island which was literally submerged for 2 weeks after the hurricane but it back up and running, lots of coral reefs around it so you have to be a local to maneuver around it, bar/food on island with chairs etc. La navetta aeroportuale è disponibile a un costo aggiuntivo. The hotel literally is within walking distance on the beach, which we did 3 of the 4 nights, to go to dinner. You can use the hobie cats, there are 2 of them, there are sea kayaks and paddleboards, all included and there is a smaller powerboat to use if you wanted to go tubing on the big mabel, but the week we were there the seas too rough, didn't calm down till Thurday. Their thoughtful kindness was a highlight of this trip ---our 13th to Anguilla. Tuesday we boarded the Frangicat with another couple and set out for the day, the seas were a little rough so they drove us to the other side and got on the boat there so we got to see the other side before coming back closer to our hotel, so that was an added bonus. Located on the white sands of Meads Bay, the Frangipani Beach Resort is a boutique hotel offering the luxuries of a first-class resort in an intimate, Caribbean environment. No noise at all from the workers, like you didn't even hear them at all, you'd see them but not a peep. They are still in the process of working on the penthouse suite and 3 ocean front rooms, which sit over the restaurant. Where the water sports desk is is where the cocktail hour is located by the pool. Calda e cristallina. Visitors to the island can choose to fly directly to Anguilla (the route less taken), or can fly into neighboring St. Maarten. Not a ton to do on the island, mostly beaching water sports etc, but if your up to relax, beach and read a book and experience the finest cuisine and local fare this island is for you. Lovely local gentleman was playing music during the hour and then proceeded to go into Strawhat while we dined and continued to play, he was so good!
